- 1 Tbsp. chili powder*
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 tsp. onion powder
- 1 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika (or regular)
- 1/4 tsp. salt (or up to 1/2 tsp. if desired)
Optional spicy additions:
- 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes, a dash of cayenne pepper, or a dash of ground chipotle
*I use American-style mild chili powder.
Recipe yields about 3 Tbsp. (Double/triple/quadruple as desired.)
If preparing for later, store seasoning mix in an airtight container in a cool/dry place. (I keep ours in a small, sealed mason jar in our pantry.)
