Healthy Vegan Chocolate Milkshake
Easy chocolate milkshake made with only 4 simple ingredients. Deliciously creamy, smooth, and luxurious!
- 1 cup vanilla almond milk (or other non-dairy milk)
- 1 ripe banana (frozen if possible*)
- 2 Tbsp. cacao powder
- 1 Tbsp. pure maple syrup (or dates to sweeten)
- 2-3 ice cubes
- 1/2 tsp. pure vanilla extract
- 1/8 tsp. almond extract
I use unsweetened milk. You may want to reduce the maple syrup if using sweetened milk. (Any plant milk should work here. I've use almond, cashew, soy, etc.)
*Frozen bananas result in a thicker, creamier, milkshake-like consistency. But if you don't have frozen, fresh will work too. For an even thicker milkshake, use up to 2 bananas if desired.
Recipe yields about 1 1/2 cups.
