This vibrant Strawberry Blueberry Salad recipe features fresh berries, crunchy candied nuts, and a delicious strawberry balsamic dressing! It's so healthy, flavorful, and easy to customize. (Vegan, gluten-free, refined oil-free.)

This colorful Berry Salad is packed with sweet, delicious flavors and texture!
Fresh greens are paired with juicy berries and naturally-sweetened candied nuts for satisfying crunch. Then it's drizzled with an easy homemade strawberry balsamic dressing. (So good!)
It's a perfect summer salad thanks to abundant seasonal ingredients. Serve it as a side dish for picnics, potlucks, brunch, Mother's Day, or even a light main course. (If you're in the U.S., you can add the optional vegan feta crumbles for a festive red, white, and blue salad for the Fourth of July!)

Ingredients for Strawberry Blueberry Salad
For this recipe, you'll toss together:
- Mixed baby greens: I like these best for this salad, but you can swap in other salad greens or lettuce of choice such as arugula, baby spinach salad, etc.
- Fresh strawberries
- Fresh blueberries
- Candied walnuts: I use my favorite homemade Maple-Vanilla Candied Nuts which are naturally sweetened with no refined sugar. This gives the salad nice crunch, texture, and added protein. Feel free to make these in advance to save time. (You can also use another nut like pecans.)
- Strawberry dressing: My oil-free Strawberry Balsamic Dressing is a fantastic match for this summer-sweet salad. It's made quick & easy in a small blender with ripe strawberries, balsamic vinegar, pure maple syrup, tahini, Dijon mustard, salt, and optional poppy seeds.

Customizing
Different fruit: Toss in other fresh berries like fresh raspberries or fresh blackberries. You could even include pineapple, cherries, clementine, or mandarin slices.
Nuts and seeds: I enjoy this vibrant salad with my homemade maple-vanilla candied walnuts, but any nuts and seeds would be great like sliced/slivered almonds, candied almonds, pecans, sunflower seeds, etc.
Dairy-free cheese: Garnish your bowl with a sprinkle of vegan feta cheese or vegan goat cheese crumbles if desired. (Use oil-free cheese or make your own to keep this recipe free of refined oils.) Fresh mint could be added as well.
Onion: Add a small amount of green onion (scallions), very thinly sliced red onion, or shallots. This can be a great addition, but don't use too much otherwise the flavor will overwhelm the rest of the salad.

Storing
Preparing ahead: If making ahead of time, store the salad and dressing in separate airtight containers in the refrigerator. (The candied nuts keep well on the counter at room temperature.) I find it keeps for about 2-3 days. Assemble everything when ready to enjoy.
