Tropical Sunshine Smoothie

What happens when your stove and oven are under repair? THESE bright, beautiful smoothies all week long - whoop whoop! I think it's my favorite smoothie yet. The smell alone immediately transports me to a far-away island sitting under palm trees with warm sand between my toes. Ahh, sweet paradise. The key is using a base of both orange juice and milk. It creates perfect texture - fresh and sweet yet slightly creamy. I usually take the help of frozen mango and pineapple, but if you have fresh that would work great as well. Go ahead and tweak the ingredients as you see fit. Smoothies are never an exact science for me, so the amounts below are just a guideline. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do - meet you at the beach! ;)

Vegan, gluten-free
Makes 1 large or 2 small smoothies

1 ripe banana
1 cup mango (fresh or frozen)
1 cup pineapple (fresh or frozen)
1 cup orange juice
1 cup almond milk (coconut would be great too)
Optional: agave/honey for extra sweetness if desired

Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
Adjust if necessary (more liquid to thin, agave/honey for more sweetness, etc.)
