    Vegan Cilantro Recipes

    Browse 30+ healthy vegan cilantro recipes! These easy, nourishing recipes either feature or include this delicious herb. Studies show cilantro provides phytonutrients and antioxidants, as well as antimicrobial protection. It's also a great source of vitamin K and vitamin A.

    Cilantro is very versatile. Use it as a flavorful ingredient in Mexican, South American, Thai, and Asian-inspired recipes. Or try it as a garnish on many foods like tacos, burritos, pizza, soup, and chili. It's also a tasty addition to salsa, guacamole, rice, homemade dressings, and more.

    Selecting: When shopping for fresh cilantro, try to find leaves that are firm and green, with a vibrant smell. (Avoid any with yellow or brown spots.) I try to purchase organic when possible. For storing, I snip the ends, then place the cilantro in a glass jar with water on my countertop. It's like a beautiful jar of fresh flowers, except they're nutritious herbs instead!

    Seasonal availability: Cilantro is available year-round, however it's a cooler season herb so it grows best in the spring and fall. It usually doesn't tolerate the heat of summer very well.
